Surprising Khwaish
Khwaish was definitely better than the expectaions, but then the expectations were almost nothing. Even then, the movie deserves this appreciation, for the music is so so, the story is ok, and the girl is good, and the camera work is surely very good. When I did this ranking of different aspects of the movie, the only criterion was the amount of effort invested, as I was not looking for any prodigious talent there (that would be aksing for too much). The girl Mallika Sherawat, did pretty clean job as her acting was better than Aishwarya Rai's acting in Aur Pyar Ho Gaya... She was really convincing when she tried to bring her husband back to his parents. And, she was able to connect to the audience. This is exactly where the hero of the movie blew everything up. If emotions were the variables, his face was a constant function. The scene when Dr. Modera (Shabhaz Kahn was very bad palying that role, they could have taken Raj Zutsi rather) tells the hero that his wife is going to die soon, the sadness on the face of Dr. is more to the extent that if you dont know whether the lady in the subject is wife of hero, you will get confused as if Dr. is telling the sad story of his own wife. Not only that, the acting of some ulhas (a side character was 100 times better than our hero's effort). The "famous" scene when the hero goes to buy the condom was so bad that I was forced to remember the first ever condom ad (of Moods Please...) I have seen, and I enjoyed that in my memory better than this one in front of my eyes. So, the hero doesnt deserve his name here in this article at least. Before I stop, one song is worth mentioning, all the frames in this songs moves horizontly, it is as if our chair is rotating about it s axis, and there is no cut in the song. Good try, i will say.
Rest is fine. ENjoy.
